Call for Nominations
The Board of Directors of the United Tribes of North Carolina (UTNC) is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Community Awards, to be presented during the Awards Banquet at the 51st Annual North Carolina Indian Unity Conference on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Hilton Raleigh North Hills. Member tribes and organizations are encouraged to nominate outstanding and deserving individuals for the following seven (7) prestigious awards:
· Distinguished Service to the American Indian Community
· Economic Advancement of American Indian People
· American Indian Elder of the Year (65 years or older)
· Distinguished Service to American Indian Education
· Distinguished American Indian High School Student
· Distinguished American Indian College Student
· Unsung Hero
